"This is it. The moment Heaven and Hell clash. But which unearthly being will win, the fallen angel or Hell's hounds?

Overtaken by fear, I close my eyes."

Kayson is a Fallen Angel who has spent decades running from the Hell Hounds while searching for something that no one else believes can be so, not even God. Kayson is determined to find a Blood Child. But when a hound finds Kayson first, he is sure his end has come.

Falon, Alpha of the Hell Hounds, destroyer of the blood children, and devoted believer in his master’s plan, is bound and determined to drag Kayson back to Hell with him.

Sabrina is a Vampire, a half-breed created from one of Lucifer’s original blood children. After years of hiding, Sabrina’s fate changes when she finds Kayson barely alive. Against her instincts, Sabrina saves him. Now she and Kayson are both marked by the Hell Hounds.

Emma is an ordinary human, whose only problem is making ends meet, and getting over the hurt caused by her untrustworthy brother. Her everyday problems become supernatural ones when she finds Kayson and Sabrina hiding in her parent’s backyard shed.

Kayson, Sabrina and Emma are unlikely allies, thrown together by chance to fight against the most powerful creatures of the underworld in order to follow their world-changing quest. But will the broken faith of one break the faith of all?

I am thinking what will really happen if there are fallen angels and the evils rise from underground and they invade the earth. It sounds really creepy, fallen angels maybe are fine but the evil creatures are too much. Imagine you can see them there fighting and all that, so creepy.

A book full of creativeness and terrifying story. I haven't read a book with fallen angels and hounds involve so this is new to me. Vampires and other creatures are common but the love between a fallen angel and a vampire is something new. The book itself is a masterpiece where you want to read more but you have to wait for the next book. I wanna know what will happen to the love story of Kayson and Sabrina.

Sabrina is once a human but was turned into a vampire and she's been hiding for one hundred years because of the news that all the blood children are going to be eliminated by the hounds. Sabrina never harm a human, and she keeps hiding for her own survival, she just ate animals to sustain her needs and aside from that she's been away from the civilization and traveled for so long until she met Kayson.

Kayson is a fallen angel, why did he fall? It's for you guys to find out, anyway. He's a good man and have a strong faith that someday a blood children can redeem their souls. He's a handsome and strong man and he was also hiding from a hound because they will destroy every fallen angel they see on the way. He was once attacked by a hound and received a sever damaged from the hound and that's where Sabrina helped him all the way.

Both Sabrina and Kayson end up to a shelter owned by Emma's parents, Emma is a human who freaked out when she saw the two creatures. But then, despite of everything she and her friends helped the fallen angels and Sabrina. The leader of the hound is Falon, he was once an angel but turned his back to God and joined Lucifer. Every fallen angels have their reason why they fall and it is a good thing for you guys to figure out why.

I honestly can't wait for the next book because I wanna read more. The story is very interesting, and I honestly got hooked on it. I keep waiting what will happen to Kayson, Sabrina and Emma and what will Fallon do next? It's intriguing and it makes me think. I know it will have a happy ending but the fact that I wanna know how it will happen is in my mind right now. Curiosity strikes again! Oh well, I suggest that you must also read this one add it to your TBR list! :)

Book Review: The Vampire's Daughter (Of Light And Darkness #1) by Shayne Leighton

When one human stands before an army of impossible obstacles, the likelihood of overcoming them in this coming-of-age modern fairytale may result in war between light and darkness.

Abandoned as an infant in Prague, naive and strong-willed Charlotte Ruzikova was raised by one of the last Vampires left alive. As a human, she knows no other home than the one nestled deep in the woods of Eastern Europe, where Witches drew spells of enchantment, Phasers threw tea parties, and Elves are the closest in kin. Charlotte has lived her life in the dark with her Guardian, content to having him to herself and reveling in his attention, until she's realizes she wants more...

Resident medical doctor and Vampire, Valek Ruzik fears the day his ward would come of age and blossom into a fine woman, and he is forced to confront his own motives as time is of the essence once his past catches up to him, and their lives become endangered...

As genocide and war threatens their secret society, the dictator in power is ready to wipe out Valek's race, but Charlotte will not allow that to happen. Fighting for the only one she's ever loved and truly believed in, she will do whatever it takes to save their love...before the sun comes up and light takes over.

I figured out about the book because of the author herself, Shayne Leighton. I was invited in to one of her video chat. I was really curious about it so I joined. That day she talked about her book and the upcoming one and I have no idea of what she's talking so I decided to read the blurb. I was curious about it and I don't know what to expect but when I found out that there's the vampire-human story involved, once again I got interested.

Honestly, once I knew it has some the vampire-human story, Twilight Saga suddenly flashed in my mind but still I didn't expect any because it might ruined my mood in reading. Then when I read it, it didn't fail to amaze me. The book is a good one. A combination of fantasy creatures, vampires and of course human. The story is not complicated and it is fascinating. I love the story of Valek and Charlotte. Their relationship is unusual, because Charlotte is supposed to be Valek's daughter but it didn't turn out that way. Valek is a vampire, he was a doctor and he took care Charlotte since she was a baby. He found Charlotte in the middle of the night. Charlotte is the only human living inside the Occult and for everybody's knowledge, it is forbidden. She was hidden for a long time and living with Valek.

This book is a little darker than any other vampire involved books that I've read, but it is challenging because my imagination is working the way the book describe what is happening. I love how the story is formed and how light and dark collides. I also love how Valek and Charlotte story revolved in the story. It occurs to me that if fate says it, it will happen no matter what hindrances are on the way.

A book is amazing with a mixture of dark and light emotions.  It honestly gave me a hard time to put it down. I must say you should give it a try.

Being unique isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

After searching all over the world for someone as unique as she is, Racquel finds herself back in her home town where she’s treated like a monster ready to kill. Racquel is one of the most unique beings ever created. Four of the most powerful beings in the Shadow World are intertwined within her, making up her unique DNA. But no matter how unique her bloodline is, she’s considered an outcast by the entire Shadow World.

Once arriving home, Racquel finds that greater evils exist and that the person she cares for most in this world, her half-sister Addie, has been kidnapped along with other Shadow World beings. Racquel finds herself facing horrible odds with those who would rather see her dead than alive.

As her journey continues, Racquel learns more about herself, what she is capable of, and that not every being looks at her as an abomination. Coy, a human captive that Racquel saves from the Vampires, starts showing kindness toward her. Racquel tries putting distance between her and the human boy but as they spend more time together it becomes harder and harder for Racquel to fight the affection she wants and needs.

But will Coy’s friendship and her new found discoveries be enough to help Racquel unravel the strangest mystery that has ever plagued the Shadow World?

Being unique is not bad isn't it? Yet, people are not ready to accept you or the things you can do. They are not open minded to accept the fact that you are also a person or you belong to them no matter who or what you are. People are so judgmental in so many ways yet they will soon ask for your help.

Uniquely Unwelcome is a good book, I like it because the story is not complicated. Simple yet full of adventures and direct to the point. The first time I read the book I guess I already know the answer to my question, who kidnapped Raquel's sister Addie, and guess what? when I found out, I was correct yet still pissed off to the one who did that evil work.
Shadow World is where Witches, Lycans, Shape-lifters, Vampires and Fairies belong. Racquel in fact is one of them yet she is so unique and other Shadows are afraid of her and doesn't want to be around with her for the fact that she might lose control and kill everyone, even in their school or community. She once left their house swearing she will not return anymore yet she decided to come back. She taught her life will be different now yet another menacing thing happened. Many Shadows from the different clans are missing and even her sister Addie was kidnapped and one of the witch, accused her that she's the one responsible for it.
Because of the puzzled mystery happened, Racquel is going to seek for the missing Shadows. On her way she met new alliances namely Coy, Ethan, Danika and Jared. The question here is will they survive, knowing that they have a strong enemy?

The villains in the book are of course annoying in so many ways, yet greediness is all they have. Well, that what makes the story sound spicy isn't it? Villains.
The book itself is enjoying, it's nice to read a book like this.  One more thing, I guess this was the first time I read a book that the lead character has so many hybrids so, I am praising the author for thinking that up.

Before I end this, I wanna ask if you are different will you just accept the fact that it's hard for the people to accept you or will you do something just to prove you do belong?
