It took me sometime to finish this book, I got distracted in too many things and I honestly feel bad for it. If I knew I should have finish this sooner. This book is beautiful though it focuses more on Simon. If you think that everything's okay and at peace now, you're wrong new trouble, new villain and new problems to solve.
New characters can be seen on this book, there is Kyle, a mysterious guy who joined Simon's band and he offered Simon a home when the Daylighter has nowhere to go. Behind his kindness and attractive face, a deep secret is hidden under his mask. Camille, the oldest vampire living, she's immortal and a former leader of the vampire clan. She has a secret of her own and a mission to complete, she tracks down the Daylighter for a reason. Another powerful creature can be found here and her name is Lilith though she has many names and that's only one of them, moving on, she's a greater demon who wants to bring her so-called-son back and she needs Simon, Clary and Jace for the ceremony.
This book is exciting!!! New characters, new set of story and new adventure but of course Jace-Clary love team is still here and I love it. I had this moment of asking lots of "whats" and "whys" and as I continue reading I found out it's a little bit creepy yet awesome. Clary is braver now in this book and I like her better because of that, Jace on the other hand is weird and it's like he lost his mind or something, he's a bit creepy. I like the action scenes, it didn't change still fantastic and I can imagine their every move (movie please!).
Back to Jace, I knew something's wrong with him -oh Jace, poor him- he's like a different person, I knew him for the past three books so believe me it's not him here. Anyway moving on, I don't like him for being so secretive, him being a brave warrior is sometimes annoying because he thinks he can manage everything but he's wrong. He still needs someone and that's Clary. And as for Clary, I like her for trusting Jace, and her faith is so powerful even though she knew something's odd she still tried to know what's going on.
Beautiful story and exciting ending I'm not sure if that's the right word to describe it it's just that.. there's no specific word to describe this book I'm still hooked! When I start reading this and I'm focused it's hard for me to get away. The last part was a big twist my last question was "what the heck happened?" (I know of course) but...
I need the fifth book right now, I need to buy it and the sixth one will be out next year I'm so excited! By the name of the angels, I love this book! I love the series. It never failed to make me feel excited. Great sequel.
