Book Review: Everbound by Brodi Ashton

Title: Everbound (Everneath #2)
Author: Brodi Ashton
Published: January 22, 2013
Publisher: Balzer + Bray

Nikki Beckett could only watch as her boyfriend, Jack, sacrificed himself to save her, taking her place in the Tunnels of the Everneath for eternity — a debt that should’ve been hers. She’s living a borrowed life, and she doesn’t know what to do with the guilt. And every night Jack appears in her dreams, lost and confused and wasting away.

Desperate for answers, Nikki turns to Cole, the immortal bad boy who wants to make her his queen — and the one person least likely to help. But his heart has been touched by everything about Nikki, and he agrees to assist her in the only way he can: by taking her to the Everneath himself.

Nikki and Cole descend into the Everneath, only to discover that their journey will be more difficult than they’d anticipated — and more deadly. But Nikki vows to stop at nothing to save Jack — even if it means making an incredible sacrifice of her own.

In this enthralling sequel to Everneath, Brodi Ashton tests the bonds of destiny and explores the lengths we’ll go to for the ones we love.
This second book has more adventures than the first one and to be honest I enjoyed it. There are lots of secrets that were revealed and I get a tour on the Everneath. It was scary I guess. I imagined myself being there specially on the tunnels I don't think I can survive. This book is more intense than the first one, but the first one broke my heart it to pieces even more I wonder what the third one will do to me. I'm so broken. LOL, I enjoyed every chapter and I almost believed about Cole's changes and he is really sweet and lovely there but the ending was a betrayal. Then, Jack I don't know but on how the author wrote his character I feel like something's wrong about him. This book left me with lots of things to wonder to but reading the third book means ENDING. I'm afraid how will it end, is it happily ever after? Or another character will die? I'm not even sure.

Every character is lovely as ever though this second book is full of tricks and betrayal. I'm not even sure if I'll get disappointed on how things turned out because of what Cole did but I felt really sad for Nikki, she's just trying to save the love of her life and she got a bad thing in return, I know the feeling of loss and I feel bad for this girl. Her romance story with Jack is still the best thing ever and I envied them for she has Jack in the first place. LOL (hope real Jack exists).

The book concentrates on saving Jack and it wasn't an easy task after all. Really dangerous act but Nikki tried her best to do every thing that she can and take the risks. It was really cool. I finished the book in one day, I just read and read and read because I really enjoyed every part of it and putting it down is like dragging my soul in the everneath which I don't want to happen.
This is a must read book and worth my time.

"You showed me that relationships are worth sacrifices."
