From the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of The Love Game and Playing for Keeps is a story of hope and the beauty of getting a second chance at the kind of love that comes once in a lifetime…
“You don’t get a love like ours and get to leave it behind.”
Kia James was never meant to return to her hometown of Harlan Grove, Alabama… But she has.
And Reese Pembleton was definitely not supposed to still be in love with her the way she is him… But he is.
Last summer was the summer to end all summers. It was the summer they both fell in too deep to get out, and try as she might, Kia can’t deny that whatever was there between them a year ago is still there. If she’s honest with herself, there’s so much more there than there ever was, but the way her dad walked out six years ago has shattered her belief of that fairytale love every girl craves.
Reese isn’t giving up so easily. His biggest mistake was not chasing after Kia the way he wanted to when she upped and left him without a word. Despite what she says, he knows her better than anyone, and he knows she still wants him the way he wants her. And this time, nothing will stop him from getting – and keeping – his girl.
But nothing is that easy. When Kia’s dad arrives back in town, family secrets come tumbling out she never realized existed. Everything her mom has ever told her about the reason he left is a lie – but how can she trust the man who, by his own admission, didn’t fight for her as hard as he could have?
With her past and present wants and needs colliding, Kia is thrown into the turmoil of the biggest decisions of her life. And she realizes, sometimes a second chance is all you need.

I don't know what to say or how to express how much I liked this book and for me it is perfect. Simple story and yet attracting, and you'll fall in love instantly. I had a hard time tearing off my attention to this book, all I did the whole day was to read and absorb the story. I was like watching a move and no one can interrupt me. To the fact that I joined in this tour without expecting anything about the book is such a shame, I should've guessed that it'll be this beautiful from the title itself, but then the good thing about not knowing is that you'll be surprised and you'll not expect to love it, and when you're done reading you can't stop yourself fangirling over the characters and about everything that happened. The book is straight to the point and the emotions are overflowing, I meant if you started reading it, until the very end all the emotions are there not hidden and it will attract you no matter how you ignore it.
The book is all about second chances or should I say giving someone or somebody a second chance and forget everything from the past, just start a new day and keep looking forward and hope for a better future, and maybe look back just to be reminded that you're better that before and you learned from that experience. It is also about acceptance, no matter how hard that situation is there will come a time that you just have to accept everything and live with it. I've read a lot of books but it's my first time reading something that focuses on second chances. I admit it's dazzling. The author did an splendid work light story but full of attraction. I bet I'll give a second chance to read this book again.
Kia, a country girl who's studying in New York, decided to spend her summer season back in town, despite all the flaws and negative vibes she pushed herself to go. Being there in that small town brings back all the memories from last summer with Reese, the love of her life who she chose to leave behind. She kept hiding her feelings from him but Reese shows it to her openly the first time they talked again after a year. It's a bit awkward to be there with him but she have to. Now she's back it's Reese's chance to win her back, the fact that he loves her so much more than anything doesn't stop him from doing all the things he needs to do just to prove his love. Despite his anger, he can't yell at her for a reason that it will not change anything. Reese is the kind of man who doesn't give up easily and he always wants to make Kia smile. Things are pretty messed up between Kia and Reese also between Kia and her parents. The reason of her escape just revolves around it all and that's for you to find out. Another thing is do you think Kia and Reese will make it back together? What will happen?
I can't believe I'm done reading this book, I read it for one day only. I'm too hooked to not finish it right away, obviously I love Kia and Reese's story and I'm looking forward to the next sequel which will come out next year! I wanna read their story. It's fantastic and magical. Personally I believe that everyone deserves a second chance, no questions asked they just do. And this book proves that love is sweeter the second time around.

By day, New York Times and USA Today bestselling New Adult author Emma Hart dons a cape and calls herself Super Mum to two beautiful little monsters. By night, she drops the cape, pours a glass of whatever she fancies – usually wine – and writes books.
Emma is working on Top Secret projects she will share with her followers and fans at every available opportunity. Naturally, all Top Secret projects involve a dashingly hot guy who likes to forget to wear a shirt, a sprinkling (or several) of hold-onto-your-panties hot scenes, and a whole lotta love.
She likes to be busy - unless busy involves doing the dishes, but that seems to be when all the ideas come to life.
