Good Bye 2018 and Hello to Another Year (2019)

Things were like a roller coaster ride for last year 2018. I tried reading books as much as I can to relax, work had been insane and all the schedules were mixed up. There were times that I had to work even on weekends just to reach my deadline. I tried squeezing things up but negatively, it didn't work the way I want it to. I feel really bad for not posting any thing for a year. I tried doing my reviews but I failed to finish or post them. I feel like, I just read just to really escape even a little hours from work. I don't touch my laptop when I get home as well because I feel like I'm gonna be working again.

I finished some of the books but I failed my Goodreads reading challenge, 18 out of 30 books.  It wasn't that bad but I felt like I failed as a reader and a blogger as well.

Anyway, despite of the busy schedule I still managed to attend some book signings. One was during the Philippine Readers and Writers Festival last August 12, 2018 in Raffle's Makati. I was able to meet one of my favorite author, Adi Alsaid. He's so kind and jolly type of person. He's so chill and he also remembered me. He's so cool though!!! I'm just so happy and blessed that even if it was raining hard that day, I was able to attend the event.

Lastly, I was able to attend the book signing of Adam Silvera and Becky Albertalli at SM Aura Premier, Samsung Hall. I seriously love Adam Silvera and his book History Is All You Left Me. I have a confession though, I haven't read any Becky Albertalli book but I watched Love, Simon which I could say a cute movie.

I am hoping 2019 would be a better one.  My work will still be insanely busy but I am going to try my best to be more productive on reading and blogging world. I'm still gathering some items on how to improve my blogging and I think I really need to focus on this matter as well. I miss blogging a lot to be honest with you all. I miss the urge to write something new every week, the excitement of finishing a book and starting a new one and posting it here in my blog right after.

I'm looking forward to a more positive year! Thank you to my readers who continuously visiting my blog. Thank you as well to the author and publishers who are really generous and giving me chances to promote their work. It's an honor and I'll treasure that forever.
